鶹ý Receives Full 10-Year Reaffirmation of Accreditation from SACSCOC

AVE MARIA, Fla., Dec. 9, 2025 – 鶹ý (AMU) announced today that the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) has officially reaffirmed the University’s accreditation for a new 10-year term — the maximum period granted by the regional accreditor.

The decision, delivered at SACSCOC’s annual meeting, follows a comprehensive, multi-year review process that included extensive documentation, self-study, and a campus site visit by a SACSCOC evaluation team in April 2025. SACSCOC is widely recognized as one of the most rigorous accrediting bodies in the nation.

“This is a tremendous accomplishment for our entire university community,” said 鶹ý President Mark Middendorf.

Middendorf expressed deep gratitude to 鶹ý’s trustees, faculty, staff, administrators, and students for their commitment throughout the reaffirmation process, and offered special recognition to Dr. Daniel Hubert, associate provost for institutional effectiveness, and Grace De Salvo, assistant director for institutional effectiveness, whose leadership was instrumental in the successful review.

“We should be extremely proud that an organization known for the rigor of its process has judged 鶹ý compliant with all of its standards,” said 鶹ý Provost Dr. Roger Nutt. “This reaffirmation reflects a decade of dedication to strengthening 鶹ý’s academic programs, student support, governance, operations, and mission.”

SACSCOC accreditation allows 鶹ý to award degrees and ensures eligibility for federal financial aid programs, among other standards of institutional quality and accountability.
