For freshman admission, you must complete an online Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çapplication, which can be filled out on our website for free or through the Common App for $30. We currently hold a 3.1 GPA minimum. You must also complete an admissions interview with one of our admissions counselors and submit your transcript(s) before being accepted. Lastly, we are currently "test optional" which means you do not need to have a standardized test score (ACT, CLT, SAT) to be accepted, but we highly encourage students to take a test/submit a score because it usually helps out significantly with scholarships.

An excellent candidate for admission at Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Ç is one who strongly values their Catholic faith, education, and community.

The Catholic faith is central to our university model, so it is fitting for an Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çstudent to hold the faith close. Our academic offerings are numerous and strong. Our faculty is well-educated and extremely knowledgeable, so we want engaged students in the classroom. AMU’s campus community is vibrant, with about 40 clubs and student run organizations. We love to see applicants with prior involvement in pro-life clubs, youth group, athletics, student leadership, and the arts. It’s great when a student can easily discuss their extracurricular involvement during the admissions process, as Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çis interested in our students contributing positively to our campus community.

High school students and college students interested in transferring to Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çare welcome to attend Ave Maria Experiences, along with their families.

Ave Experiences usually take place from 10:00am – 6:00pm and include an activities fair, a mock class, a financial aid talk, a campus tour, introductions to professors and current Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çstudents, a social hour, etc. Ave Experiences are great ways for students and their families to get a whole picture of attending Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çand getting to meet peers who also may attend AMU. The tuition and costs at Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Ç depend on what program you are interested in. For example, the tuition for undergraduate and graduate programs are different. You can see our current tuition and costs here.

It depends on the individual student. Tuition is the same across the board (whether in state or out of state). Once a student applies and if they are accepted, they will receive an initial financial aid package. This may include things like academic merit-based scholarships, athletic scholarships if applicable, donor funded scholarships, outside scholarships, Florida state aid, and federal aid. Once you put in an application to Â鶹´«Ã½¸²Ãð¼Çand if you are accepted, your admissions counselor can begin to discuss specifics about your individual financial aid package.
